Do Carpets Collect Dust?
Carpets are floor coverings completely safe for human health. They do not stimulate development of allergy, they even improve the indoor air quality in the room they are laid.
It is not possible to eliminate the occurence of dust completely, but the right flooring selection can significantly contribute to its control. Did you know that carpets are an ideal flooring for this? On the occasion of walking on the hard floor, the emission of dust in the air continues even when you stop walking. While in case of carpets, the emission of dust will stop as soon as you stop walking on it. Carpets collect and retain dust in their surface layer and thus less particles of dust come into the air that we breathe. Dust in the air is much more dangerous than dust on the floor, because we breathe it from the air. And simple regular vacuuming is enough for removing dust from the carpet.
